SAFETY, SCAMS & SMART TRAVEL

Common Scams to Avoid

  • Fake "Official Guides": Men claiming to be from Dargah offering "special darshan"
  • "VIP Fast Track": Promise quick access for payment (only book through official Dargah office)
  • Overpriced Offerings: Vendors near Dargah charge 5-10x normal price
  • Taxi Overcharging: No meter, quote 2-3x normal fare (use Uber/Ola instead)
  • Gem/Jewelry Scam: "Special deal" on precious stones (usually fake or low quality)
